Projects
Transportation and its importance in the fast changing world permanently increases. It is perceived not only as a means of mobility, but also as a means for the enhancement of the attractiveness of a territory, its economic potential and quality of life of its population. The transport service in the territory means a service provided to the population and a means of the integration into a wider territorial and economic context.
The modernisation and development of the transport infrastructure are a very time-consuming and financially and technically demanding process. Due to the high financial requirements of the modernisation and development of transport infrastructure it is necessary to ensure the optimal generation of resources and their effective utilisation. One of ways how to raise the required funds for the development of the transport infrastructure are resources from the EU funds.
Road and railway transport may be regarded, in terms of their importance and performance, as decisive transport systems by which 98% of the volume of goods traffic and 99% of the passenger traffic are performed. Individual final beneficiaries within the framework of the OP Transport (OPD) are unlike other so-called. demand-oriented operational programs determined in advance.
There are not launched any calls for projects submitting (only announcements are in use) and the indicative list of OPD projects is taken into consideration.
In the construction and modernization of transport infrastructure area the (ZSR, NDS, SSC) managers are the final beneficiaries and in the area of the modernization of the passenger rail transport mobile park this is to be the sole operator of rail passenger transport (ZSSK).
